From campus tours to social media content — here's how I show up, lead, and contribute every day.
Working at Saint Mary's University Admission Office is about giving tours to prospective
students and families who are interested in attending Saint Mary's. As a tour guide I am
responsible for providing concrete, factual information that covers everything about campus.
In the office we handwrite every tour card and send personalized thank-you notes to every
visitor. We also send out mailings throughout the entire application process — from first
contact all the way through to graduation cards for every senior in the system.
Admission is a great role for building strong connections and developing public speaking
skills. Every day I enjoy putting my abilities to use for a job I genuinely love.
My additional role is to contribute to making events, managing the SMUMN Admission
social media presence, and keeping our audience engaged and up to date.
As a team building coordinator I help create activities that bring all our workers
together — fun games and shared experiences that build genuine connection among the team.
On the social media side, I create and post content Monday through Friday — stories,
reels, and daily posts that showcase campus life and attract prospective students and
families. Each piece of content is planned with intention to reflect the real Saint Mary's
experience and what our school is known for.
All of these roles help me build a stronger foundation for my future career in public
relations, digital media, and leadership.
